Procedure
The strain M33 was grown as in Example 1. A biomass containing M33 cells up to a concentration of 0.5 mg/ml and 3-cyanopyridine up to a concentration of 8% was added into a I00-ml flask containing 40 ml of distilled water (pH 7.6). The flask was incubated at 30° C. under stirring conditions. After 60 minutes, a I0%-nicotinamide solution was obtained. Nicotinic acid and 3-cyanopyridine were not present in the reaction mixture.
