Procedure

2.75 mL acetanhydride was added to 5 g 3-trifluoracetyl-7-amino-1,2,4,5-tetrahydro-benzo[D]azepine in concentrated acetic acid. The mixture was stirred 17 h at RT, diluted with water and stirred for another 1 h at RT. The precipitate was filtered, washed with water and dried to give 5.35 g of the desired product. Rf: 0.46 (DCM/MeOH=19/1), (M+H)+=301
