To 3-(chlorosulfonyl)benzoyl chloride (0.36 g 1.5 mmol) in anhydrous dichloromethane (50 mL) was added octahydro-1H-pyrido[1,2-a]pyrazine (0.21 g, 1.5 mmol) in dichloromethane (4 mL) slowly over 10 minutes at room temperature. Then sodium carbonate (0.32 g, 3 mmol) was added. The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 5 hours. Then 3-(trifluoromethyl)aniline (2.9 g, 18 mmol) was added. The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 5 days, then sodium carbonate (0.32 g, 3 mmol) and methanol (5 mL) were added, the mixture was stirred for 20 minutes, then filtered, and concentrated. The residue was purified by chromatography on silica gel (methanol/ethyl acetate=1:10) to give the titled compound: 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ ppm 1.00-1.27 (m, 3H), 1.42-2.10 (m, 7H), 2.70-3.40 (m, 4H), 4.25-4.40 (m, 1H), 7.40 (m, 3H), 7.50 (m, 1H), 7.70 (m, 3H), 7.85 (m, 1H), 10.80 (br s, 1H); MS (ESI) m/z 468 (M+H)+.
