Following General Procedure F, ethyl3-(3,4-difluorobenzylcarbamoyl)-2-isopropyl-1-(pyridin-3-ylmethyl)-1H-indole-6-carboxylate (Compound 46, 439 mg, 0.896 mmol) ) in EtOH (12 ml) was added NaOH (179 mg, 4.48 mmol) and H2O (1 ml). The reaction was stirred at 25° C. for 12 h, concentrated in vacuo to an oil then acidified to PH=5 with 10% HCl, diluted with EtOAc, washed organic with H2O, brine, dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated in vacuo to yield the title compound as a light yellow solid.
