Following General Procedure F, ethyl3-(3,5-difluorobenzylcarbamoyl)-2-isopropyl-1-(pyridin-2-ylmethyl)-1H-indole-6-carboxylate (Compound 48, 92 mg, 0.187 mmol) in EtOH (10 ml) was added NaOH (40 mg, 0.94 mmol) and H2O (1 ml). The reaction was stirred at 55° C. for 4 h, concentrated in vacuo to an oil then acidified to PH=5 with 10% HCl, diluted with EtOAc, washed organic with H2O, brine, dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated in vacuo to yield the title compound as a white solid.
