General Procedure L. To a solution of methyl3-(3,4-difluorobenzylcarbamoyl)-6-methoxy-1-(pyridin-2-ylmethyl)-1H-indole-2-carboxylate (Compound 93, 149 mg, 0.32 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (10 ml) was added BBr3 (1M in CH2Cl2, 1.6 ml, 1.6 mmol) slowly at 0° C. The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 2 h, and was quenched with ice, extracted with EtOAc (×3). The combined organic layer was washed with brine, dried over Na2SO4, and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by PTLC on silica gel (10% MeOH—CH2Cl2) to yield the title compound.
