Acetyl chloride (21 μl) was added at 0° C. to a mixture of 4-[2-((1S,3S)-3-amino-cyclopentyloxy)-4-fluoro-phenylamino]-5-methyl-thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidine-6-carboxylic acid amide trifluoroacetate (cpd. 229, 206 mg) and DIPEA (348 μl) in DCM (25 ml) and stirred at rt for 4 hours. The reaction mixture was concentrated, diluted with water and extracted with DCM. The organic layer was dried, concentrated and the crude was purified by chromatography to give the desired product.
