Synthesised according to the method described for 2-phthalimidoethane-N-methylsulfonamide from 3-phthalimidopropanesulfonyl chloride (2.50 g). Yield: 854 mg (35%). 1H-NMR (CDCl3) δ (ppm) 7.82-7.76 (m, 2H), 7.72-7.64 (m, 2H), 4.13 (br s, 1H), 3.78 (t, J=6.8 Hz, 2H), 3.07-2.99 (m, 2H), 2.74 (d, J=5.2 Hz, 3H), 2.21-1.18 (m, 2H).
