Procedure
1.38 ml (1.38 mmol) of a 1N aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide are added, at ambient temperature, to a suspension of 0.436 g (1.15 mmol) of methyl 5-(imidazo[1,5-a]pyridin-3-ylcarbonyl)-2-[(propylcarbamoyl)amino]benzoate in 10 ml of methanol. After refluxing for 2 hours, the methanol is concentrated under reduced pressure. A 1N aqueous solution of hydrochloric acid is added. The precipitate obtained is filtered off, rinsed with water and then dried, overnight at 40° C. under reduced pressure. 0.27 g of a yellow solid is obtained.
