Reaction Steps

4-(7-hydroxy-4-oxo-2-(trifluoromethyl)-4H-chromen-3-yl)benzohydrazide (1 equiv.) and CDI (10 equiv.) in DCM is refluxed overnight. An aqueous/EtOAc workup followed by purification by prep-HPLC can give the desired product in Example 23.
