Procedure

The lauryl ether lithium acetate was prepared by ion-exchanging lauryl ether sodium acetate. Lauryl ether sodium acetate was dissolved in N-butyl alcohol dissolving lithium chloride. The precipitates of sodium chloride, formed by the ion-exchanging reactions, were removed, and N-butyl alcohol in the N-butyl alcohol solution was removed by evaporation under a vacuum, to form lauryl ether lithium acetate.
