Methyl 2-(4-((dimethylamino)methyl)phenyl)benzo[d]oxazole-7-carboxylate in ammonium water (10 mL) was stirred at 30° C. for 17 hr, then the solvents were evaporated and purified by pre-HPLC to obtain 2-(4-((dimethylamino)methyl)phenyl)benzo[d]oxazole-7-carboxamide as a white solid (10 mg). 1H-NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ 2.18 (s, 6H), 3.5 (s, 2H), 7.47-7.49 (t, J=8 Hz, 1H), 7.54-7.56 (d, J=8.4 Hz, 2H), 7.79-7.81 (d, J=8 Hz, 1H), 7.86-7.90 (d, J=14.4 Hz, 2H), 7.94-7.96 (d, J=8 Hz, 1H), 8.24-8.26 (d, J=8 Hz, 2H); LC-MS (ESI) m/z 296 [M+1]+.
