Methyl 2-(1-(benzyloxycarbonyl)piperidin-3-yl)benzo[d]oxazole-7-carboxylate (180 mg, 0.46 mmol) was added to ammonia in methanol (20 mL) and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 2 days. Then the mixture was evaporated under reduced pressure and extracted with ethyl acetate (100 mL×4), the organic phase was dried with anhydrous sodium sulfate and evaporated under reduced pressure. 100 mg of benzyl 3-(7-carbamoylbenzo[d]oxazol-2-yl)piperidine-1-carboxylate was obtained. Yield: 57%. LC-MS (ESI) m/z: 380 (M+1)+.
