2-(4-(Pyridin-2-yl)phenyl)benzo[d]oxazole-7-carboxamide (100 mg, 0.3 mmol) and platinum (IV) oxide monohydrate (55 mg) in methanol (20 mL) was purged with 20 atm of hydrogen at 50° C. for 24 h. Then the mixture was filtered and adjusted to pH=9. The solvent was removed in vacuum. The crude was purified by pre-HPLC. 7 mg of 2-(4-(piperidin-2-yl)phenyl)benzo[d]oxazole-7-carboxamide was obtained. Yield: 7%. 1H-NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ 1.23 (s, 1H), 1.56-1.70 (m, 4H), 1.87 (brs, 2H), 2.88-2.91 (m, 1H), 4.02-4.04 (m, 1H); 7.48-7.52 (m, 1H); 7.72-7.74 (m, 2H); 7.82-7.98 (m, 4H); 8.30-8.32 (d, J=7.2 Hz, 2H); LC-MS (m/z) 316 (M+1)+.
