Reaction Steps

To a solution of tert-butyl 2-oxo-1-((1-tosyl-1H-indol-4-yl)methyl)-1,9-diazaspiro[5.5]undec-3-ene-9-carboxylate (0.12 g, 0.218 mmol) in methanol (6.0 mL) was added 10% Pd/C and the reaction mixture was stirred for 6 h under hydrogen (1 atm. pressure) at rt. The reaction mixture was filtered through a pad of celite and washed with methanol. The filtrate was concentrated and the product was isolated as a white solid (0.120 g, 99%). LCMS RtA=0.511, [M+H]+=551.9
