[3-Benzo[1,3]dioxol-5-yl-5-(4-methoxy-benzyloxy)-phenyl]-cyclopropyl-methanone (250 mg) was dissolved in glacial acetic acid (3 mL) and heated at 100° C. overnight. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure and the residue was purified on a silica gel column using ethyl acetate and hexanes to yield 138 mg of the title compound (79% yield). HRMS calcd for C17H14O4 [M+H]+ 283.0965, observed 283.0964.
