The title compound was prepared in accordance with step (b) Example 24 from (2-carboxymethyl-5-(3-cyano-6-methyl-2-pyridinyloxy)-1-(4-isopropoxyphenyl)indole-3-carboxylic acid ethyl ester (184 mg, 0.36 mmol, see step (b) Example 28), NaOH (aq, 2 M, 0.9 mL) and EtOH (1.5 mL). The mixture was heated at 80° C. for 4 h and the title compound was isolated as described before. Yield 40 mg (22%), mp 196° C.
