The title compound was prepared from tert-butyl 4-[(2-hydroxymethyl)-3-methylpyridin-5-yl]piperidine-1-carboxylate (Example 80 (3)) (69 mg, 0.225 mmol) and 4-methanesulfonyl-2-methylphenol (48 mg, 0.260 mmol) following a procedure analogous to that in Example 1(3) and (4) as a pale yellow amorphous (37 mg, yield 30%).
