The title compound was prepared in accordance with the general method of Example 1, from 2-bromopyridine (124 mg, 0.79 mmol) and 2-(but-3-ynyl)-7-chloro-4-fluoro-benzo[d]oxazole (176 mg, 0.79 mmol). The crude residue was purified by flash chromatography (DCM/MeOH 99:1) to yield 30 mg (99 μmol, 13%) of 7-chloro-4-fluoro-2-(4-(pyridin-2-yl)but-3-ynyl)benzo[d]oxazole as a brown solid (M.P.=102-103° C.).
