The title compounds were prepared, in accordance with the general method of Example 109(D), from 2-(6-bromo-hex-1-ynyl)-pyridine (250 mg, 1.05 mmol) and benzotriazole (125 mg, 1.05 mmol). The crude product was purified by flash chromatography (cyclohexane/AcOEt 3:2) to yield 2-(6-(pyridin-2-yl)hex-5-ynyl)-2H-benzo[d][1,2,3]triazole (38 mg, 0.14 mmol, 13%) as a brown oil and (cyclohexane/AcOEt 1:1) to yield 1-(6-(pyridin-2-yl)hex-5-ynyl)-1H-benzo[d][1,2,3]triazole (48 mg, 0.17 mmol, 16%) as a brown oil.
