Reaction Steps

The title compound was prepared in accordance with the general method of Example 1, from 2-bromo-pyridine (129 mg, 0.82 mmol) and (4-fluoro-2-methyl-phenyl)-pent-4-ynoyl-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester 250 mg, 0.82 mmol). Reaction time: 3 hours. The crude residue was purified by flash chromatography (cyclohexane/AcOEt 4:1) to yield 190 mg (0.50 mmol, 61%) of 4-fluoro-2-methyl-phenyl)-(5-pyridin-2-yl-pent-4-ynoyl)-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester as a white solid.
