The title compound was prepared in accordance with the general method of Example 1, from 2-bromo-4,5-dimethylthiazole (100 mg, 0.52 mmol) and 2-(but-3-ynyl)-2H-benzo[d][1,2,3]triazole (89 mg, 0.52 mmol, Example 109(D)). The crude residue was purified by flash chromatography (cyclohexane/AcOEt 4:1) to yield 25 mg (89 μmol, 17%) of 2-(4-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)but-3-ynyl)-2H-benzo[d][1,2,3]triazole as a yellow solid (M.P.=96-98° C.).
