The title compound was prepared in accordance within the general method of Example 223(D), from 3-(benzyloxy)pyridin-2-amine (274 mg, 1.37 mmol) and 1-bromo-6-(trimethylsilyl)hex-5-yn-2-one (compound 223(C), 750 mg, 3.0 mmol). The crude residue was purified over silicagel chromatography (prepacked 25 g silicagel column, DCM/MeOH: from 98/2 to 95/5 as eluent) to afford 331 mg of 8-(benzyloxy)-2-(4-(trimethylsilyl)but-3-ynyl)H-imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine (Yield: 69%) as a yellow oil.
