Reaction Steps
This compound was prepared in the manner described above for intermediate 1a by replacing indole with 7-azaindole (3.65 g, 31 mmol) in 68% yield (5.42 g) as a white solid: mp 162-165° C.; MS EI m/e 256 (M+).
