Trans-1-(4-(4-methylpiperazino)cyclohexyl)-3-(4-phenoxyphenyl)-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidin-4-amine (0.47 g, 0.972 mmol) was dissolved in 140 ml of hot ethanol and maleic acid (0.40 g, 2.47 mmol) in 10 ml of hot ethanol was added. After 2 hours at room temperature, the solid was filtered and then dried to give 0.62 g of 1-(trans-4-(4-methylpiperazino)cyclohexyl)-3-(4-phenoxyphenyl)-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidin-4-amine, dimaleate salt. 1H NMR (DMSO) 1.58(m, 2H), 2.04 (m, 6), 2.67 (m, 3H), 2.79(vbm, 9H), 4.70 (m, 1H), 7.41 (s, 4H), 7.17 (m, 5H), 7.44 (m, 2H), 7.66 (d, J=8.63 Hz, 2H), 8.24 (s, 1H); LC/MS (MH+32 484).
