2-[5-(2-Allyloxycarbonylamino-2-ethoxycarbonyl-ethyl)-isoxazol-3-yl]-pyrrolidine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (3.44 g, 7.86 mmol) was dissolved in 4M hydrochloric acid in dioxane (10 mL) and stirred at room temperature for 2 hours. The reaction was then concentrated in vacuo and co-evaporated with dichloromethane to give the desired product as a brown waxy solid. MS (CI) m/z 509.9 (M+1)
