Reaction Steps
L-Phenylalanine (1.65 g, 10 mmol), triethylamine (2.8 ml, 20 mmol) and [[(2,2-dimethyl-1-oxopropoxy)methoxy]-(4-phenylbutyl)phosphinyl]acetic acid, N-hydroxy succinimide ester (4.67 g, 10 mmol) are dissolved in 50 ml of dry dimethylformamide and stirred overnight under argon at room temperature. The reaction mixture is partitioned between dichloromethane and 5% KHSO4, and the organic layer is washed with water and brine and then dried and evaporated to yield the desired product.
