实验过程

164 g(1 mole) of p-tert-amylphenol, 64 g (0.68 mmole) of phenol, 47.8 g. (1.27 moles) of 80% paraformaldehyde and 2.11 g of oxalic acid were reacted under water reflux for 6 hours, and then the reaction mixture was heated to 160° C. to deydrate it and complete the reaction. There was obtained a p-tert-amylphenol/phenol/formaldehyde co-condensate having a sotening point of 95° C.
