Reaction Steps
7-[2-(2-Aminothiazol-4-yl)-2-methoxyiminoacetamido]-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid (syn isomer, 1.15 g.) was added to an aqueous solution of calcium hydroxide (0.111 g.) in water (100 ml.), and the solution was stirred at room temperature for 10 minutes. After the solution was filtered, the filtrate was lyophilized to give calcium 7-[2-(2-aminothiazol-4-yl)-2-methoxyiminoacetamido]-3-cephem-4-carboxylate (syn isomer, 1.2 g.).
