Reaction Steps
2-(2-Aminothiazol-4-yl)-2-n-octyloxyiminoacetic acid (syn isomer, 20 g.), acetic anhydride (27.3 g.) and formic acid (12.3 g.) were treated in a similar manner to that of Example F-(5) to give 2-(2-formamidothiazol-4-yl)-2-n-octyloxyiminoacetic acid (syn isomer, 21.3 g.), mp. 122° C. (dec.).
