This compound was prepared from 1,3-dithiolane derivative of Z-Leu-Abu-COOEt and 2-aminomethylquinoline by the procedure described in Example 38, and purified by column chromatography using AcOEt/hexane 2:1 (16% yield). Yellow solid, single spot on TLC, Rf =0.27 (AcOEt/hexane 2:1), mp 135°-138° C. 1H NMR (CDCl3) ok, MS (FAB) m/e=519 (M+1). Anal: calcd. for C29H34N4O5, 518; C, 67.16; H, 6.60; N, 10.80. Found, C, 66.89; H, 6.68; N, 10.61.
