Procedure

Using the same general procedure as described for Compound 3, but using instead 4-(4-methylpentyl)phenylethyne (Compound 26), the title compound was synthesized as a yellow solid. PMR (CDCl3): & 0.91 (6 H, d, J-6.6 Hz), 1.20-1.30 (1H, m)., 1.47 (3H, t, J-7.2 Hz), 1.51-1.72 (3H, m), 2.63 (2H, t, J-7.8 Hz), 4.45 (2H, q, J-7.2 Hz), 7.22 (2H, d, J-8.4 Hz), 7.53-7.64 (3H, m), 8.30 (1H, dd, J-8.1 Hz, 2.1 Hz), 9.23 (1H, d, J-2.1 Hz).
