A solution of tert-butyl 3-{2-bromo-5-{[3-chloro-5-(trifluoromethyl)-2-pyridyl]oxy}phenyl}tetrahydro-5-methyl- 2,4,6-trioxo-s-triazine-1(2H)-acetate (7.00 g, 0.012 mol) in trifluoroacetic acid (40 mL) is refluxed for 2.5 hours, cooled to room temperature and concentrated in vacuo to give the title product which is identified by 1HNMR spectral analysis.
