The suspension of the wet product from step (iv) (5.90 g) in 10% aq.NaOH (34.2 g) and ethanol (24.9 g) was heated at 85° C. for 5 hours. The mixture was cooled to 25° C., and the pH of the solution was adjusted to pH 6.5 with 18% aq. acetic acid (31.1 g). The resulting precipitate was collected by filtration, washed with water (18.6 g) and acetonitrile (15.5 g) respectively, and dried to give the subtitle compound as a white solid, 4.43 g.
