To a solution of (1R,3S)-1-(4-bromophenyl)-3-methyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline (48.5 mg, 160 μmol) in CH2Cl2 (1.0 mL) at RT was added 1-fluoro-4-isocyanatobenzene (28.9 μL, 249 μmol). The reaction was stirred 4 h and directly purified by reverse phase HPLC to give (1R,3S)-1-(4-bromophenyl)-N-(4-fluorophenyl)-3-methyl-3,4-dihydroisoquinoline-2(1H)-carboxamide as a white solid. MS (ESI pos. ion) m/z: 439, 441 (M+1).
