The crude 1-(6-(trifluoromethyl)pyridin-3-yl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline was dissolved in CH2Cl2 (1.0 mL) and 1-fluoro-4-isocyanatobenzene (32 μL, 273 μmol) was added. The reaction was stirred 17 h under N2 at RT. The reaction was directly purified by HPLC to give N-(4-fluorophenyl)-1-(6-(trifluoromethyl)-pyridin-3-yl)-3,4-dihydroisoquinoline-2(1H)-carboxamide as a white solid. MS (ESI pos. ion) m/z: 416 (M+1).
