4-Amino-5-chloro-2-methoxybenzoic acid (500 mg, 2.48 mmol) and tert-butyl methyl[3-(methylamino)propyl]carbamate (652 mg, 3.22 mmol) were used to give the title compound (655 mg; yield, 68%) as a colorless oily substance according to the method described in Example 12a.
