Reaction Steps

A solution of compound 158 (75 mg, 0.136 mmol) in ethanol (5 ml) is degassed with nitrogen for 15 minutes and cooled to 0° C. Then K2CO3 (9.43 mg, 0.068 mmol) is added and the mixture is stirred at 0° C. with continuous degassing for 1 hour. The reaction mixture is partitioned between water and AcOEt. The combined organic phases are concentrated and crude is purified by silica gel flash chromatography (eluent DCM/EtOH=99/1 to 95/5) to yield the title compound (31 mg, 0.061 mmol, 45% yield).
