Reaction of 30 mg N-(2,6-dimethoxybenzyl)-N′-(4,5,6,7-tetrahydro[1,3]thiazolo[5,4-c]pyridine-2-yl)guanidine (0.09 mmol, Example 221.3) with 18 mg phenylsulfonic acid chloride and 40 mg polymer-bound DMAP (Argonaut; 1.06 mmol/g) in 5 ml dichloromethane followed by chromatographic purification (dichloromethane/methanol 2-4%) yielded 15 mg of the target product; ESI-MS [M+H+]=488.15.
