To a stirred solution of cis-toluene-4-sulfonic acid 3-[8-amino-1-(4-phenoxy-phenyl)-imidazo[1,5-a]pyrazin-3-yl]-cyclobutylmethyl ester (20 mg, 0.04 mmol) in MeOH (2 mL) was added 25% wt. NaOMe in MeOH (25:75, MeONa:MeOH, 13 uL). The resulting mixture was stirred at 50° C. overnight. Reaction was quenched with sat. aq. NaHCO3 solution, extracted with DCM and dried (Na2SO4). The solvent was removed under reduced pressure to give a residue which was then purified by flash chromatography. 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ ppm 2.28-2.43 (m, 2H), 2.54-2.65 (m, 2H), 2.65-2.75 (m, 1H), 3.34 (s, 3H), 3.40-3.46 (m, 2H), 3.59-3.75 (m, 1H), 5.03 (s, 2H), 7.02-7.09 (m, 3H), 7.08-7.18 (m, 4H), 7.33-7.40 (m, 2H), 7.59-7.65 (m, 2H).
