2,2-Difluoroethylamine (0.18 mL, 2.53 mmol) is slowly added to a mixture of N-(trans-4-trifluoromethyl-cyclohexyl)-6-chloro-5-nitro-2-(2,2-difluoroethoxy)-nicotinic acid amide (prepared according to WO2010/34799, 1.00 g, 2.3 mmol) and 10 mL THF at 0° C., 2 mL MeOH is added and it is stirred for 20 h. The mixture is concentrated and the solid residue is washed with water and dried. Yield: 0.96 g.
