A solution of 3-(5,6,7,8-tetrahydroquinol-8-yl)-propylamine (0.75 g, 0.0038 mole) and 2-nitroamino-5-(6-methylpyrid-3-ylmethyl)-4(1H)-pyrimidone (0.99 g, 0.0037 mole) in pyridine (1 ml) was refluxed for 8 hr and evaporated to dryness. The residue was chromatographed on silica in 10% MeOH/CHCl3 then dissolved in hot CHCl3, filtered, and the product precipitated with petroleum ether 40°-60° C. to give the title compound (0.38 g), m.p. 75°-80° C.
