(R*)-3-{1-[(S)-1-(2,3-Dihydrobenzo[1,4]dioxin-2-yl)methyl]piperidin-3-yl}phenol (51 mg), K2CO3 (28 mg, 0.20 mmol), 2-chloroethanol and MeCN (2 ml) were heated under microwaves at 80-105° C. for 6 h. The solvent was removed and the residue was taken up in DCM. This solution was washed with water and 1 M NaOH and evaporated to dryness. Flash chromatography (heptane/EtOAc) gave 3 mg of the title compound.
