A mixture of 7-(2,3-epoxypropoxy)-6-methoxy-4-(2-methylindol-5-yloxy)quinazoline (100 mg, 0.27 mmol) and piperidine (79 μl, 0.8 mmol) in DMF (4 ml) was heated at 70° C. for 24 hours. The solvent was removed by evaporation and the residue was recrystallised from acetonitrile. The solid was filtered, washed with diethyl ether and dried to give 7-(2-hydroxy-3-piperidinopropoxy)-6-methoxy-4-(2-methylindol-5-yloxy)quinazoline (80 mg, 65%).
