Coupling of 1-ethynylcycloheptanol with bromide 3, following the method used to prepare Example 17 gave 2,2,2-trifluoro-N-(3-(3-((1-hydroxycycloheptyl)ethynyl)phenyl)propyl)acetamide as a pale yellow oil. Yield (1.78 g, 60%): 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ 9.40 (s, 1H), 7.26 (t, J=7.6, 1H), 7.17-7.22 (m, 3H), 5.26 (s, 1H), 3.16 (q, J=6.0 Hz, 2H), 2.56 (t, J=7.2 Hz, 2H), 1.91-1.97 (m, 2H), 1.73-1.79 (m, 4H), 1.45-1.63 (m, 8H).
