Sonogashira coupling of alkynol 20 with N-(2-(3-bromophenylthio)ethyl)-2,2,2-trifluoroacetamide (128) according to the method used in Example 1 followed by flash chromatography (5-50% ethyl acetate/hexanes gradient) gave 2,2,2-trifluoro-N-(2-(3-(3-hydroxy-3-propylhex-1-ynyl)phenylthio)ethyl)acetamide (129) as an orange. Yield (0.22 g, 52%): 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO) δ 9.52-9.60 (m, 1H), 7.26-7.36 (m, 3H), 7.16-7.20 (m, 1H), 5.11 (s, 1H), 3.60 (ddd, J=6.4 Hz, 2H), 3.11 (t, J=7.2 Hz, 2H), 1.52-1.62 (m, 4H), 1.38-1.52 (m, 4H), 0.89 (t, J=7.2 Hz, 6H).
