To a solution of [((1R,3S,4S,6R)-2-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)-3-{[(2S)-2-cyano-1-pyrrolidinyl]carbonyl}-2-azabicyclo[2.2.1]hept-6-yl)oxy]acetic acid obtained in Example 15-2 (195 mg) in dimethylformamide (2.5 mL), was added 1,1′-carbonyldiimodazole (165 mg). The mixture was stirred at room temperature. After 30 minutes, methanesulfonamide (66 mg) and 1,8-diazabicyclo[5,4,0]undec-7-ene (106 mg) were added, and the resulting mixture was stirred at room temperature for 12 hrs.
