Reaction Steps
To a solution of tert-butyl (1R,3S,4S,6R)-3-{[(2S)-2-cyano-1-pyrrolidinyl]carbonyl}-6-hydroxy-2-azabicyclo[2.2.1]heptane-2-carboxylate obtained in Example 5-7 (353 mg) in dichloromethane (10 mL), were added sodium hydrogencarbonate (177 mg) and Dess-Martin periodinane (692 mg). The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 4 hrs.
