The final product from Example 259 (7.5 g, 0.014 mol) was dissolved of TFA (120 mL) and the dark brown solution was stirred at room temperature for 84 h. Solvent was removed and the residue was taken up with 200 mL of water. The solid was collected and air-dried to give 6.5 g of product as a pale white solid (83% yield); 1HNMR (DMSO, 400 MHz) δ: 10.29 (s, 1H), 9.84 (s, 1H), 7.24–7.51 (m, 11H), 6.87 (d, 2H), 2.90 (m, 4H); Anal. Calcd. for C25H19ClN4O3+1.0 H2O: C, 62.96; H, 4.44; N, 11.75. Found: C, 62.92; H, 4.28; N, 11.76.
