A mixture of 1-(4-acetylphenyl)-8-{[(2-chloropyridin-3-yl)carbonyl]amino}-4,5-dihydro-1H-benzo[g]indazole-3-carboxamide (200 mg, 0.41 mmol) in MeOH (3 mL) and water (0.3 mL) was added NaBH4 (10 mg, 0.25 mmol) at RT and stirred for 14 h. The mixture was separated on silica gel column (EtOAc) to give product (100 mg, 50%). 1H NMR was consistent with its structure.
